Cooking Instructions

Stovetop:

  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a 2-quarter saucepan.
  2. Open bag and return to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to minimum; cover and boil gently for 4-5 minutes or until tender; stir once during cooking time. Drain and serve.

Microwave:

  1. Do not puncture or open steam bag before heating.
  2. Gently massage package to break apart vegetables.
  3. Place steam bag with frozen green beans in microwave. Microwave on High. For lower wattage ovens (less than 1100w), cook on high for 7 minutes or until the product reaches 165°F. For higher wattage ovens (greater than 1100w), cook on high for 5 minutes. During cooking, the bag will slowly inflate as the steam forms. A whistling sound may be heard as the steam escapes through the vent in the bag.
  4. After cooking, remove the bag from the microwave and let stand 1 minute, carefully open the bag and pour vegetables from the bag. Serve and enjoy!
