About this item

Tulips are one of the most quintessential spring flowers. Tulips are appreciated for their bold colors and beautiful shape that are usually symmetrical. The vibrantly colored blossoms are so symbolic of spring that they are one of the most popular flowers for seasonal wedding arrangements.

Tulips are a Symbol of Love

Tulips are a spring-blooming perennial, and they produce large, showy and brightly colored blooms. They are generally red, pink, yellow or white. Tulips have a wide variety of meaning but in general, symbolize love and signal the annual arrival of spring. One unique characteristic of the tulip, is that once you cut the stems and place them in water they will often continue to grow in length and cause the stems to droop over from the weight. They are also sensitive to light and cool temperatures. They tend to bloom in the light and heat and close again in the dark and cool temperatures.

Grown at the Highest Level of Environmental and Social Responsibility

Established in 1987, the Rainforest Alliance is a growing network of farmers, foresters, communities, scientists, governments, environmentalists and businesses dedicated to conserving biodiversity and ensuring sustainable livelihoods. They are an international non-profit organization working to build strong forest, healthy agricultural landscapes, and thriving communities through creative, pragmatic collaboration.

Flower Care

We recommend keeping your flowers in a cool location away from direct sunlight or heat. Also avoid placing any ripening fruit near your flowers as they release gasses that may cause your flowers to expire at a faster rate. Fill your vase using filtered water. Give the stems a fresh cut at an angle using a very sharp knife or pair of garden shears, and immediately place in a container of water. Replace all water daily keeping water levels close to the vase opening. As some flowers begin to wilt, remove them so they don’t spread bacteria to the rest of the bouquet. Certain flowers will fade before others. There’s beauty throughout the entire life of a bloom. Enjoy these cut flowers all the way through the fading process.
