Shrimp may be seasoned and steamed, poached, grilled, fried or sautéed. Use it as an appetizer or broil with butter and garlic for a lobster-like feast. Shrimp is also great for gumbos, pasta dishes, étouffée or salads.
Thawing Instructions
Place frozen shrimp into a strainer and rinse with cold water for 5 minutes. Rotate shrimp while rinsing. Let drain before serving.
Grilled Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb. Big Easy Gulf Shrimp
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 bunch green onions thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
Place shrimp in a medium bowl. Stir remaining ingredients together; pour over shrimp.
Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
Grill for about 5 to 7 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time.
